Dr. Henderson

Curtis Henderson, DDS

Dr. Henderson believes that oral health is important to overall health and has committed hours of continuing education learning the connections between the mouth and the body. He practices minimally invasive, esthetic dentistry with a focus on prevention.

Dr. Henderson grew up in Michigan. Though his childhood dentist encouraged him to pursue dentistry, at the time it was a profession far from his consideration. After earning a BS in Neuroscience from The University of Michigan, he worked as a ballroom dance instructor. While teaching dance, a student of his, an orthodontist, also thought dentistry would be a perfect career for him and insisted he take the Dental Admissions Exam.

He then moved to Madison, Wisconsin where he worked part-time at a non-profit dental clinic while pursuing his MPH at A.T. Still University. After achieving his MPH, he was promoted to the Executive Director position of a non-profit clinic, More Smiles Wisconsin. Dr. Henderson worked here for three years, helping address the unmet dental needs of the most vulnerable population.

Dr. Henderson enrolled at the Marquette University School of Dentistry for his dental degree (DDS), and then completed a General Practice Residency at Harvard School of Dental Medicine & Cambridge Health Alliance. During residency, he received additional training in implantology, oral surgery, molar endodontics, and digital dentistry.

Outside of work, Dr. Henderson enjoys trying new restaurants, playing tennis, hiking with his partner and two Australian Shepherds, and dancing in ballroom dance competitions around the country.
