Dr. Fischer is originally from Michigan. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Michigan State University in 1981. Dr. Fischer graduated from the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry in 1985. After graduation, he was accepted into and received certification from an accredited General Practice Residency with the Veterans Administration. This program provided extensive postgraduate training in the areas of Periodontics (gum disease), Endodontics (root canal therapy), Prosthodontics (crown and bridges), and oral surgery. He also received extensive postgraduate training in Orthodontics, Endodontics, Laser and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Fischer received his fellowship with Academy of General Dentistry in 1994. He has been a scientific presenter at the Maryland Dental Association.
Dr. Fischer is active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the International Association of Orthodontics, the American Association of Functional Orthopedics and Orthodontics, the Northern Virginia Implant Society and the World Clinical Laser Institute.
